Igor was introduced to the world of dance at the age of 6,when he started with Ballroom training, taking part in many competitions and achieving top places. At age 12, Igor began ballet training at the Nureyev Ballet College, Ufa, and continued at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, graduating with a distinction as a Ballet Artist in 2005. In 2007-2014, he followed up with studies at the Moscow Academy and graduated with a degree in Ballet, Historical Dance and Character Dance Instruction.

Following graduation in 2006, Igor joined the State Kremlin Ballet where he danced for 4 years. Mr.Davidov’s classical repertoire includes leading parts in Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliette, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, La Bayadere, Karmen-suite, Scheherazade.

In 2010 he went on working as a ballet dancer and a teacher at  the Imperial Russian Ballet company. During the following 3 yrs, he has toured internationally with the company in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, European countries, Tunisia, Cyprus, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Chile. His vast repertoire of this period ranged from classical to contemporary works, such as Firebird, Bolero, Giselle, Cinderella, Armida’s Pavilion, Polovtsian Dances, Carmina Burana, Ruslan and Lyudmila.

During his performing carrier, Igor was very fortunate to work under the guidance of such renowned choreographers as Y.Grigorovich, L.Lavrovsky, E.Druzhinin, A.Dukhova. These ballet masters as well as Ekaterina Maksimova, Andris Liepa, Nicolay Ziskaridze, Faruh Ruzimatov have all played an instrumental role in shaping Mr. Davidov as an artist.

Due to serious spinal injury, Mr.Davidov had to end early his professional work as a ballet dancer. But it directed him to Andras Peto Institute, Budapest, where he received training in Conductive Education under the guidance of Elena Horvat. Until recently, Igor has been working as a Conductor Teacher at the rehabilitation centre “I Can”, Moscow, also serving as choreographer and classical ballet teacher at the figure skating club Constellation and teaching at the Russian Ballet company.

Igor is now happy to join Russian School of Ballet and share his extensive knowledge and experience with our students.
