Ten years ago, a ten-year-old girl walked into our studio with big dreams and an even bigger work ethic. Today, that same dancer has made history.
Candice’s journey with us began at 10 years old. A trip to St. Petersburg at age 12, taking master classes, visiting Vaganova Ballet Academy and stepping onto the stage of the Hermitage Theatre, is where the dream really took hold. From there, she trained across three continents — right here at RSB, in Australia, and later on in Germany — always working toward the same goal.
In 2022, she auditioned for and was accepted into the world-famous Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg — the first South African dancer ever admitted. This year, she graduated. First South African. First graduate. And now, she’s walking straight into a job offer from one of the top Russian ballet theatres.
We watched her grow up in our studios, and now the whole world gets to watch her shine. We couldn’t be prouder.
